What are your session fees?

1 hour sessions are $110, and 1.5 hour sessions are $154. A free 15-minute discovery call is also available for new clients.

Question 2

Do I need a referral or Mental Health Care Plan?

You're welcome to book a session at any time — no referral or Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is required. At present, Medicare rebates are available for psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Counsellors, psychotherapists, and relationship therapists are not yet eligible for Medicare rebates. Whilst a MHCP allows for 10 subsidised sessions per year which can be helpful for short term support, psychotherapy fees are lower than psychologists and remain consistent across the year, which can make ongoing support more accessible.

What issues can psychotherapy help with?

Psychotherapy offers a gentle space for reflection, healing, and change. It can be especially supportive when exploring long-standing patterns such as: low self-esteem or self-worth, family-of-origin challenges, difficulties in relationships, experiences of anxiety or depression, life transitions or adjustment struggles, and feelings of confusion around identity or direction.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life can be unpredictable. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give at least 24 hours' notice so that the time can be offered to someone else. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur the full session fee.

Is therapy confidential?

What you share in sessions is treated with deep respect and confidentiality. Your therapist is legally and ethically bound to keep your information private, except in rare situations where there is concern for your safety or the safety of others.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy?

Accepted Answer

IFS therapy is a gentle way of getting to know your inner world — the many different parts of you and the ways they think, feel, and respond. By understanding and listening to these parts, the Self can begin to work together with these parts, rather than against each other, creating more clarity, balance, and self-compassion. In this process, we can begin to heal parts that hold pain or trauma, release old protective patterns, and open space for new ways of being.
